The ProDPI ROES program is a software installation that allows you to submit your orders to ProDPI. It can currently be installed on all Apple desktop and laptop computers running software version 10.7 or later. As of early 2017, ROES will no longer run on systems running 10.6.
Step 1: Locate and Delete ProDPI ROES from your Applications folder, as well as any shortcuts on your Desktop and/or in your dock.
Step 2: Click on your Apple Menu and select "System Preferences"
Step 3: Select the Java Icon in the bottom row of your menu.
(Note: If there is no Java Icon, skip to Step 6)
Step 4: Once in the Java Control Panel, select the General tab and locate the "View..." option under the "Temporary Internet Files" section.
Step 5: When the Temporary Internet Files window opens up, confirm that you have "Applications" selected. Locate the ProDPI ROES, select it, and click the Red X to delete it.
(Note: If there is no ProDPI Roes listed here, move on to Step 6)
Step 6: Deleting Hidden Files! We will repeat this step three times, searching for a new folder each time. To search for the hidden folders, navigate to your desktop and locate the "Go" selection from the menu across the top of your screen. Next you will select the "Go To Folder" choice.
The three folders you want to search for are listed below in order.
Search One: ~/.roescache
When you search this folder, you want to locate the "DPImaging" folder inside it, and delete it or right click to select the "Move To Trash" option.
Search Two: ~/.roesenginecache
When you search this folder you want to select the entire folder itself and delete it, not just the contents.
Search Three: ~/.dpimaging
When you search this folder, you want to also select the entire folder itself and delete it, not just the contents.
Congratulations! You have successfully deleted the ProDPI ROES ordering software off of your computer. Click this link to download a new installation!
Important note: If this ROES installation does not work, you will want to consider our alternate installation which utilizes Java. You will need to complete the entire uninstallation process a second time to make sure that you have removed all of the ProDPI ROES related files, then you will navigate to java.com to download and install the most recent Java update. After you have completed this step, click the ROES link below!
Alternate ROES Download with Java
WARNING: With the Java installation of ROES you may encounter the error shown below. If you do, follow the additional steps to resolve this error.
ROES Unidentified Developer Error
1. Navigate to your Apple Menu and then to System Preferences. This time, select the "Security&Privacy" option.
2. Once inside, navigate to the General tab. On most computers, there will be a related notification in the bottom half of this screen alerting you to the "launch.jnlp" file and asking if you would like to "Open Anyway". If you see this notification, click the "Open Anyway" button to continue the launch. If you do not see this button, jump to step 4.
Step 3: Continue through the remaining ROES launch screens. You should see a message similar to the original error, but with a new option to continue opening.
Step 4: In the Security&Privacy window, locate the Lock button in the bottom left and click it. This will prompt you to enter your system password.
Step 5: Change your select to "App Store and identified developers" and then try clicking the "Launch.jnlp" file in your downloads folder again. This should either open ROES immediately, or set you up to complete the error resolution from step 1.
