Latest information on OS X/Java/Roes

First off, on behalf of ProDPI & Softworks (Makers of Roes for all Labs) we would like to apologize for any inconveniences that you have experienced with ProDPI roes. Over the last months there have been numerous changes to Java causing many issues with ProDPI roes. Most recently Apple blocked Java from running on systems 10.6.8 and later. We would like to make the following recommendations for Mac users.

10.6.8 Systems- Update your Java by clicking here and downloading the update.

This should restore Java on your system and allow ProDPI roes to function again.

Please note, at some time in the unknown future Apple could block Java once again. We recommend updating to 10.8 Mountain Lion at your earliest convenience. Please check hardware/software compatibility before doing so.

10.7 Systems- Please update to 10.7.5 using the Apple Software Update, then make sure you are running the latest version of Java 7. The latest version of Java can be downloaded here.

10.8 Systems- Please update to 10.8.2 using the Apple Software Update, then make sure you are running the latest version of Java 7. The latest version of Java can be downloaded here.

In all casess, please delete any ProDPI roes shortcuts and re-install roes by clicking here.

Double click on the file downloaded called, launch.jnlp. Roes will now launch.

Folder Button Stalling or Freezing

A bug in the latest Java 7 will cause the FOLDER button in roes not to function properly. Please read this article for a workaround.

Once again we apologize for the inconveniences that Roes/Java/Apple have caused. Please email or call us with any questions at all. Softworks assures us that they are working very hard to fix all of the open issues with ProDPI roes. We will update you as soon as we hear any more details or issues.
